We've gotten rid of some deadwood/soon-to-be deadwood and we clearly have the funds to make more signings, they're just not always available.

Swapped Ndombele for Dembele, just a window late.

It really depends on Eriksen now, imo. If he stays, it's a 7/10 window -nothing mindblowing, but solid reinforcement, a deeper squad and a good platform for the future.

If he leaves with no replacement, it's 5/10, imo - thoroughly average. All we did was replace Eriksen and Dembele with Lo Celso and Ndombele, leaving our squad no stronger than it was, and probably without much (if any) of a net spend, either.

Much better than our absolute horror show of miserliness last season, but still a bit disappointing in light of the fact that we would not have leveraged the CL final or our increased revenues to really make a statement.

So, depends on Eriksen now - unless we have a replacement for him in addition to Lo Celso.

No not really, we needed to replace Trippier with a quality rb.

We needed to bring in a deep lying playmaker to complement Eriksen not replace him and Ndombele was a late replacement for Dembele.

Don’t think we have gotten any stronger unless Eriksen signs a new deal and its Lo celso with Eriksen rather than instead of Eriksen.
