We had a scout watch him in 2017-18. So we definitely had at least a passing interest this time last year.

I like cook. And him and onomah have had a brilliant partnership through England youth teams. But he just strikes me as a 90% Eric dier, which is fine, except we already have the real thing

We should bring him (or another CB) in regardless. Toby and Jan aren't getting younger, so eventually we have to replace them. Better to ease them in and get comfortable and settled first.

We have Sanchez and Foyth who are already bedded in. No need for five first team CBs.

Andersen is one that we have been linked with for a while, especially the January window where I'm sure I read at one point he was effectively a done deal for the summer. CB isn't a priority for me, even if Toby leaves as I think we can rely on Sanchez to step up and Foyth, Dier and Davies to rotate in when required. However he would be good as a long term successor to Jan, so might be worth bringing in now if we think we are going to miss out on him in the future.
