can't get my head around the Neymar deal
or why Barca want Coutinho
or why Di Maria is seemingly surplus to requirements
Neymar is a brand and clubs need name players it seems
Coutinho is massively over priced
Di Maria has been up and and down at PSG
but they are happy to spend that money why not pick a better player?
exactly
as he was at United, but at Madrid, played in his strongest position, he consistently terrorised teams
Player sales. Time for some cheeky bids.
Wouldn't Gray cost upwards of £20 million? Is he actually any better than Nkoudou?I just think he's got a bit more intelligence about him than the average bog standard tricky AM. He's also got the close control to operate in the tight spaces. I think he'll be getting up past Raheem Sterling's level quite soon
Mind you, I used to think the same about Nathan Redmond, but his career has stalled.
If we're not able to compete for the Bernardo Silvas of this world, I think Gray could be our Eric Dier type signing (i.e. reasonably priced, under the radar, with big potential) for AM

Kelechi Iheanacho closes in on £25m move to Leicester City
I would be reluctant to sign any player who was doing all he could to swap playing for Man Utd for an easy life at PSG. Shows a real lack of desire IMO.but they are happy to spend that money why not pick a better player?

We're only talking about a 5th choice AM.
The main question is, is he better than Sissoko and Barkley for that role, to which the answer is - undoubtedly.
Isn't he instead simply an alternative option up front to Vardy? i.e. will replace Slimani, Musa, Okazaki or Ulloa in the squad? The move that frees up either Mahrez or Gray for someone
Undoubtedly? How do you work that out? Surely the phrase is "'arguably", at best. Is Gray actually better than either of Sissoko or Barkley?.... Both of those players are full internationals whereas Gray is only an England under 21 at the moment. We're only talking about a 5th choice AM.

Rabiot would be more realistic I guess, if you can use the word realistic for anything connected to PSG. I've changed my mind on Rabiot a few times - sometimes he is majestic, other times terribly inconsistent. At the moment though I like him and think he would give us another good midfield option. It would be hard to say no to Di Maria or Rabiot. We are a good test case as to whether or not there's many players out there that value something other than 100 grand a week. Come to Spurs for Champions League, Wembley, Poch and premier leagues crowds/tv viewers. Plus the new stadium.
The inconsistency is probably explained by the fact that he is playing in a key position at a young age.Rabiot would be more realistic I guess, if you can use the word realistic for anything connectected to PSG.
