Transfer rumours - summer 2021 edition

We need a Playmaker. A No 10 type that’s not Kane dropping in. Worrying to not see any links to that creative type midfielder.

Centre Back/Backs and a RB needed before players like Bryan and back up GKs.

We have been linked with Aouar from Lyon, who is seemingly available for a real bargain fee this summer.

Seems to have gone quiet and he’s been linked with a few clubs.

I just feel that we are not really addressing our most urgent needs. The back up keeper does not even look very good his stats are bang average. That’s not really important compared with massive holes in our defence.

Same goes for the winger. Young , potential I get all that but a necessity? Not really at present.

We also need another Striker. Kane’s going to be knackered after the long season and Euros.

Not time to panic yet but not looking that promising in my view.

But we have been strongly linked to very good players in all those positions which means we’re after players there I’d assume
Deals aren’t easy currently with players being here, there and everywhere (2 players were very very strongly linked with are at the Olympics for example)
Emirates Marketing Project with all that money haven’t brought the striker they need/don’t need
Neither have Chelsea
Jason sancho still hasn’t signed for united and that deal was done weeks ago

I don’t doubt it’s difficult. As I said not to worried yet but we need to get cracking. After watching that first half tonight players like Dier and Winks would struggle to get in Colchester’s side.

Lots of holes to fill.
 
Ref: AM. I think it was Chich a few weeks ago mentioned Cherki at Lyon. I like that idea. Very young with bags of potential and already playing at a good level.

Probably cost a fair whack but could be a very long term solution of an investment given his age.

If we look at the rumours it’s quite a few CBs of decent quality
One player that plays RB and CB
A few CMs with weak ish links
A winger that looks and it done
A couple of quality strikers
And a keeper which is almost done
