What are peoples thoughts on sessegnon?
Looking forward to seeing him next season, he has the talent and after playing fairly regular on loan i hope he has the confidence to show it.

That was a link the other day from a fan too. Suggesting we should copy city and have an american back up
Would he get a work permit? What are the new, post Brexit, rules there? (Are they unchanged or loosened to make up for the lack of EU nationals with freedom of movement?)That was a link the other day from a fan too. Suggesting we should copy city and have an american back up

Sure there are plenty we would likeI think our number priority should be a left footed Argentine with a terrible injury history.
I see a couple places are linking is with Locatelli. Seems plausible to me - 23 years old, at an unglamorous team (Sassuolo), international, 2 years left on his contract....
A CM isnt the highest priority in my mind (CB, RB, RW and a back-up CF are) but it would be a positive in terms of our intent IMO, given we're presumably guaranteed to bring in a CB or two too, he'd probably be signed to be a starting 11 player, and a couple signings to stregnthen the core of the team would help a lot.
I think a CM is second priority to 2 x CBs. Hojbjerg desperately needs a partner in there who will give us a platform to play from. As well as Locatelli there are also rumours about Pellegrini from Roma. These could just be because we now have an Italian DoF and (it seems) are on the verge of announcing a head coach who has been working in Italy at the same club as the player.... but in this case as well the player has just a year left on his contract and also has a 30m euro release clause.I see a couple places are linking is with Locatelli. (GB got in there just before me I see)
This is the sort of squad that I'd like to see next year (I'm assuming Kane is gone):
-------------------------------------Lloris/Likakovic
Dumfries/Bogle----Milenkovic/Toby---------Elvedi/Rodon---------Regulion/Sessgnon
---------------------Hojbjerg/Skipp------------Soumare/Lo Celso
-------Pereira/Bergwijn------Ndombele/Dele/Olise-------------Son/Thuram
-------------------------------------------Ings/Isak
Good players and cover for them all round. Would be a huge amount of work to do for the new DoF but incomings would be covered by outgoings (I expect we'd end up about £30m down due to agents fees and loyalty bonus pay offs). Wage bill would also likely be considerably lower than this season. There are various players that could be inserted into the above instead of the ones I have marked in bold (i.e. the two Italian's mentioned in the previous posts instead of Soumare), just as long as they are fast, powerful and technical
The likes of Tanganga, White, Scarlett and Clarke can also be included in the Europe squad.
That sort of team/squad has so many good young players that it should only need 2 or maybe a max of 3 players a year from then on and it is the sort of team that could really develop into something pretty special in 2 or 3 year's time, there are lots of formations that could be played by the above players as well. It would be a brave rebuild but not actually a particularly painful one. If we are brave, decisive and act quickly this summer then there are a huge number of good players available for transfer. The worst thing for us could be hanging on to Kane until the last few days of the window and selling him then (even if it gets us another £10m in transfer fee) as that will seriously hamper the new manager in building a new team that can hit the ground running next season.

oh boy, you are really gonna hate Levy by the end of the summer
Back when we had the best DoF in the business in Frank Arnesen we brought in more players than that I believe.11 new players!!!!
