With our paltry transfer budget I'm not sure we can afford for Son to leave on a free. He would probably fetch £50m to £70m and we are desperate for funds. Though I think the problem is that losing Kane and Son costs us just about all of our goals and assists so we could potentially find ourselves in a spot of bother at the wrong end of the table.

Ok we sell son for £50-70m. How much would a replacement cost? £30-50m. So we got £20m left over. How much does son bring in from asia? You must have seen all the asian fans at the ground. Buying shirts everything. How many in s korea buy shirts etc... more or less than £10m a year?

Will his replacement be as good? 1 prem place is worth £5m a season. That's what 2 points? Do you think son would get us 2 points a season?

He's basically our messi.

Others seem to think their walking out of the club for a packet of crisps and some sweets because were such a basket case
It’s actually almost as if some fans want the best players to leave to start a “told you so” rhetoric
Kane was rumoured or want the deal done before the euros started and it doesn’t appear we have a bid from anyone so far…
And that rumour was reported quite widely despite the fact that transfers couldn’t go though until today I believe. Nothing like facts getting in the way of a story

I can't see anyone matching our valuation of Kane and with 3 years on his contract, I can't see how he can force his way out.

I've heard from several people that Son has agreed a new deal and it will be signed this summer. I trust them.

Surely the United and city players at the euros can encourage him to leave
And then he can force levy’s hand by threatening to tea bag him or something. Maybe Kane and his brother can call levy and bald cnut as people think that will work too

I also don't think levy will sell. Personally I am not opposed to selling and starting again but they people that seem to think he is off are those easily swayed by the media and don't understand what Levy is.

He'd have to go to court which would take months/years to resolve. He probably couldn't afford what we would want for him to buy himself out if his contract. If it was found that there had been contact between him and other clubs, we could claim inducement which could see him banned from playing for months and his next club punished. He won't go down that route.

We'll find out soon enough. I understand that a contract has been agreed with Son and he will sign it. I don't see a way that Kane can force his way out and I don't see anyone matching our valuation. Kane Zaha'd himself when he signed the 6 year contract.

I can see us accepting players, if they are the right ones as well as cash.

I hope you are right about Son, but its been dragging on for a while now.

Isn't it just the remainder of his contract he needs to pay, so somewhere in the region of £40-50m? Could he threaten to do this, as a way of forcing Levy to accept say an offer of £80m from City?

Only if that is in his contract. Otherwise, we get to set the price. I would expect that to be the same as we would want from another club.
