VAR should not be used in situations like that. It should only be used when the decision is clearly wrong! That was a matter of millimeters, and impossible to judge correctly.

If the whistle did go he shouldn't give the goal regardless of VAR, that's the rules I am guessing he only blew after the ball hit the net.This is what I mentioned a while back.
