Tottenham Hotspur Women

Because those tickets are sold at a loss for one and because they are a successful team for two. Tottenham have only relatively recently had a women's team, and only recently been promoted.

I think that the point about the gender of the fans is important as well. Rightly or wrongly expecting men to turn out and pay (again) to support the women's team is fantasy. The women's season ticket should be included with the price of the men's. With kids it's included in having a membership.

If the women's game is going to grow, women need to support it like men support the men's team. I would be asking why more women go to men's matches then women's matches as a jump of point and addressing this day divide.

This is nothing to do with the quality of the product, which is good. It's about the organic growth of it to self sufficient levels rather than it being propped up and given false narrative about the health of it. Cause outside 2 or 3 clubs the numbers going to watch games are similar across the board.

I don’t care if it’s men or women. My point is simple: we should expect more than 6788 fans to a North London Derby. Throw out any number of excuses you want, I’m not happy to accept that at all.

I’d say think of it on its own merit
For example
My season ticket for the means team means when I have a weekend free…. I ain’t thing about going to watch another spurs team
The Arsenal ladies fans I know who go actually ones who don’t got to the men’s game
2 are Chelsea men’s fans but support Arsenal women

It depends on what the norm is really.
Quick google shows the following home attendances this season :

So the NLD drew ~4 times as many fans as our next biggest home crowd. I think that's pretty good for a relatively new team and in a stadium the capacity of which is around 9,200.
Personally I don't follow the WSL. I don't follow much of the news about Spurs women on our website. I had no idea our women's team was playing an NLD until I heard it being spoken about on the radio on Sunday morning. Not that I would have gone anyway.

Looking at attendances for last season :

The NLD crowd was much bigger, followed by Chelsea and then Man Utd. Each of those matches was played at NWHL and I recall there was more publicity from the club about the fixtures and ticket sales.

Right -- that is where my frustration mostly comes from. There crowd figures are way too low to begin with. I held out hope that, given this match wasn't able to be played at the THS, that maybe we would at least sell out Brisbane Road. Give some positive PR, keep pushing the needle in growing attendances. It looks like it'll be back down to the 1 and 2 thousands for the foreseeable future.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I see anything Spurs and I will back it with everything I've got. I want our women's team to grow and become competitive so I will be there at every opportunity.
