Yeah. He looked a little tired, maybe post England duty, and wasn't set well, balanced, for that one. I think Chadli may be the man to sub on for Kane and cover cup games. Chadli could be a handful up top if he put it about a bit more.

Poch subs don't have an impact... Well they did today
Lamella doesn't play with his head up... Best I've seen him play
Something I'm right on... Chadli is a waste of space most do the time and seems to only want to shoot once the opposition are in front of him

Sunderland went defensive and on the counter (JD was very good) but I think our calmness and the subs showed in the end.

Agree with everything except Chadli
. It wasn't his best game today and I wanted him to shoot quicker and not be over elaborate, but he's hardly the only one guilty of that. Redemption day indeed. Mason scores, Lamela assist and Townsend played well. I can't believe I typed that!

you can never argue with any victory - especially an away one. didnt fill me with confidence, but the three points were crucial today and we got them. so well done lads.

More relief than anything. Wasn't our best performance. Sunderland were intent on stopping us getting into a rhythm, and did well until about 70mins when they tired. Lamela and Townsend really made a difference.
Happy for Mason, hope he's okay. He's a little isolated with Dier deep and Ali forward.
