When Bale and Lennon are fit, it's a 4 man midfield, always. If VDV isn't fit, it's 2 up front, Ade and JD. Simple. Why do people want to over complicate it? It's worked pretty fudging well so far

Ade's off form in terms of goalscoring, and unless Harry wants to establish him as undroppable, he needs to make a stand sooner rather than later... actually, there is no 'later' as they'll BOTH be gone by the end of the season...!!

I also hope that we start with Defoe and Saha up front tomorrow. JD deserves to get a start as he's the only one of our Forwards who has been scoring goals recently whilst I think Ade could do with a rest/kick up the backside. If Saha doesn't have a good game then Ade is not a bad player to bring off the bench.

Died a death because ut was based on Ade and Defoe playing as a partnership. The looked very effective when playing together but we seem to be lumped with the Ade/VDV partnership which simply does not score enough goals

The beauty of Ade though is that when he plays 4 players end up sharing the goals (Ade, Rafa, Bale and (to a slightly lesser extent) Lennon). Ade holds the ball up superbly and creates chances for our AMs - that's a key reason for our success.

When we play 4-4-2 we actually end up with a huge gap in the #10 spot (especially because Modric and Parker sit so deep). Ade's actually more isolated in a 4-4-2 than a 4-2-3-1.
 
out of curiosity, how many league games has adebayor gone without scoring & how many has he scored in his last 10 starts?

I would suggest we are more effective when it comes to scoring goals when we play with 2 strikers. Besides we do not play 42321. VDV is the person that isolates Ade. With Defoe and Ade we have a more sustained goal threat
 
True, but at the same time he wouldnt have a lack of goals if we hadnt been cheated out of three of his goals
 
After the disappointing draw against Liverpool, we must beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine to get back into the title race. We can't afford to drop points at home to teams like Saudi Sportswashing Machine. But you have to be worried over our current injury problems. Not sure how many fit players we will have against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. We badly lacked quality substitutes against Liverpool. Hope we will have better bench against Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Lack of goals from our strikers, especially Adebayor and VDV have been affecting us lately. Bale and Defoe have scored crucial goals for us during this time. Hope Defoe will be fit again. Bale wasted a glorious chance against Liverpool. We need him to get back into goal scoring form again. Other than that, really can't see who else can score for us now.

Apart from Bale, Modric and Lennon really need to score more goals from midfield. For all his creativity and skills, Modric should be scoring about 10 goals a season like Lampard. Similiary, it would help us greatly if we can have Lennon scoring more often as well. Don't think you can blame Parker for not scoring as his main job is to stop other teams' attacks.

Our defence did well to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool. We need to keep more clean sheets like that to increase our goal difference. There is no excuse whatsover why we can't keep a clean sheet against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. King and Dawson did well against Liverpool. But Kaboul has been playing really well recently. So, I won't mind if Kaboul gets to start with King in defence.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine started the season really well due to their consistent strikers. They might have lose out in the title race recently but they are still a tough team to beat. I think as long as we stop their strikers from scoring, we will have a good chance to beat them. Hope we make use of the chances created to beat them and get back into the title race.
 
Any news regarding our injury problems ? Players like Hudd and Sandro seems to be out injured too long. Is Hudd the new sicknote Anderton ?

I don't use teletext and i assumed he was fit as i read on sky sports that VDV and Lennon were in line for a come back for today's game.

The beauty of ade is that when he plays the AMs get to score? Thats because there's no other fecker to do it! Ade can't buy a goal and he's been playing without a striker alongside him
