***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Palace OMT***

Yeah that's mostly fair - however by your analysis every time someone stands on someone's foot it's a red.
Games won't make it past 25 mins.

I meant showing them, having them facing up, flat to the floor other factors would also be relevant

but going in at 90 degrees should always be a red

They won't change it yet. They'll still try to be compact, keep it at 1-0 and hope for a counter or dead ball situation. We need a second goal to make them change their approach.

do we want them to change their approach, they are no threat currently, we can just play keep ball and run the clock

Yeah, but at 1-0 they're still in the game, and suddenly something might happen and they score. It's easy to think we're comfortable at 1-0 and they're a man down. That's dangerous. We need to go for more goals, without overexposing ourselves.

right now, they are in full sit deep, lets get as deep into the game before they change as possible

we go 2-0 up it frees them up, nothing to lose then, they can have a go at us, and with our historically weak club mentality chucking away a 2-0 lead with a man advantage is textbook Spurs

this should be a keep ball exercise until HT at least
