Out of curiosity, do you think there are any situations where playing 4-4-2 is equal to or better than playing a 4-2-3-1? If so, what is it about Norwich at home that means it's not one of those cases?
 
Did not know this game was on at 3 today, thought it was a 19:45 KO or something. Sweeeeet!

Have to win this one really, hoping to see Livermore and Lennon and possibly Defoe but there is an inner conflict in my mind as to whether that's the best idea.

Definitely won't happen but a standard 4-4-2 with Ade and Defoe, Bale and Azza on wings and Modric and Livermore in the middle could be quite tasty.

Of course you have to adjust the side. Put lennon on the right, Vdv on the left, they`ll switch and it`ll be fine. Ade and defoe up front.

Lol, I'm just reacting to other posts by the lads saying it was on SSN. Hope it's false. Need Bale and all of the first teamers in every game now. I'm guessing if he is injured its come from that challenge right at the end of the Sunderland game.
 
I'm still a bit shocked that a team that relies so heavily on pace down the wings for its play only has 2 such wingers in the whole squad?

If Bale is out, all I ask Redknapp is please to just slot one player in there. Just the one, Kranjcar, Rose, Gomes, I don't care. Just please don't put Modric on the left, then have a Sandro/Parker cm etc.

Surely has to be Kranjcar for Bale. He was on the bench Saturday. rather him than Rose. As you say just leave Modric in the middle, but 100% Lennon must start now.

fudge thought it was an evening kick off, going for lunch with the missus parents at 2.30, going to miss the whole game now. We need to come out at full pace and put this game to bed in the first half, no fudging around with tippy tappy on the halfway line, just good old fashioned wing play and they wont be able to handle it.

Could do with boosting the goal difference and getting 3/4 up by the hour then relax for sunday.
 
I would play Rose in his proper position. He is a pacy winger who can get round a player and can cross.

Im not 100% sure but i think that meets the criteria to play on the left.
 
Don't win this and we can effectively kiss 3rd goodbye.
