***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Brentford OMT***

I don't think we can bank on Royal scoring a long ranger every game and with the other being from a set piece i wouldn't get too confident off of that 45 tbh
Yep we definitely need to spend some of the Kane money on a top class striker.

Well its certainly not going to be boring, TBH I did not see the Spurs of pre season there at all, so maybe as much a positive as negative as we know its in there somewhere.

I think the key is and was part of appointing Ange is that this team will learn on the job rather than it being an all out change from the start. From that respect it looks like early Celtic, they need to know their roles better, but that comes with time.

The midfield are going to have to know their roles better, no good only being good in possession, they have to at least track to the edge of the box as extra bodies.
This for their second goal. A better striker wouldn't have needed a lucky deflection to score with the time and space afforded.

Fans leaving early this season will miss so much of the game with all this injury time

But those who like to go down early at half time to get their pints in will be able to probably drink 2 more hahaha

We look so unready especially with our best and most senior defender out after 5 minutes. Vdv and sanchez are doing well but where is the tracking back from the midfield i.e. skipp.

Watch Kulu i expect he will be marked out of the whole game. He can't play if the defender sticks to him like glue.

Bissou, udogie, royal and maddison all ballers and so cool and in control all the time.

Time for Ange to earn his spurs. Thomas Frank has shut angeball down.

The point is with the way we play we get more bodies in the box and the goals will be shared around. Royal isn't playing as an authentic RB for starters so he will get more than the one goal he got last season....

Its also game 1.0, things will change as we get more used to this system.

We have ripped up 3/4 years of a certain way of playing and lost the clubs greatest striker. Its not going to be all roses and cake early doors

I don't get why people would spend all that money then leave before the end.

Hard to judge as players get used to system and each other but promising that we are trying to play around their penalty area. Think we going to be ok, worth pointing out Brentford’s results at home, beat City/Liverpool etc, they are no mugs at home

Son even tried to pull out of that. Ended up brushing the top of his foot, ludicrous but that's the way ig is now.

The problem is: they are looking for contact, rather than assessing for a foul. If its unlikely to be a foul in normal play outside the box, then don't give a pen. Var is still an fing joke. No need for the delay with our goal either.

Var should be used, but there is no need for it to be such a shambles. Its used well in cricket and rugby, why can't this multi-billion sport get it right? Could design it in 5 mins so its complimentry rather than an event in itself, with its own var naunced rules. Load of gonads right now.
