Really…
One game a week
None are over used
True. And Ange has said that the mid-week cup game and next week's PL match will see most of the squad being used.

Which is great management and coachingTrue. And Ange has said that the mid-week cup game and next week's PL match will see most of the squad being used.
Why is man, when refering to one, uninclusive?
Let's hope they avoid injuries from fatigue...seems like certain players are very overused in the last three games
he's had a bad 15 mins in three games, think its OTT the top myself, I'm more worried about Son and Kulu
Really? That's your beef? One think I don't like are these double subs...
Perisic for Sarr
Hojbjerg for Richalison
Skipp for Maddison
Lo Celso for Bissouma.
Should have been Perisic for Richalison, Hojbjerg for Sarr, Skipp for Bissouma and Lo Celso for Maddison...
Small issue, but one that is bugging me.
In the case I was referring too, it wasn't a specific individual, its the name of an award handed out to one player in each PL game, both in the EPL and the WPL.
In any case, we don't know how any player chooses to identify. Why assume?
Now, I'm pretty old school and think a lot of the "woke" (GHod I hate that word) actions are pretty unnecessary and even at times defies it's intended purpose, and see myself as a supporter of a few old fashion gender roles (I mean, gentlewoman? Gentleperson? Fireperson?), but this I can get behind. Honestly, I didn't even notice that it's "player" and not "man", and as someone said - it costs nothing and takes nothing away from the award. We don't call it "man of the year" either, do we?It’s interesting, and I can understand your point of view.
It’s not needed - for you, but what if it makes someone else who has previously been or felt excluded (by omission rather than by anything nefarious or deliberate) feel more included?
That can only be a good thing I think, and I don’t think anyone can really credibly argue that it negatively affects their own enjoyment of the game.
We’ve only got to look at what’s happening in Spain at the moment to understand that covert and overt misogyny is still very, very close to the surface and will burst through at the slightest invitation.
I wonder how many of these players will get a game against Fulham in the Cup? Does anyone know if Ange tinkered much at Celtic or was he a 'keep a winning side' kind of Manager?
His touch has been very poor and he isn’t finding the right positions. A goal or two could change everything though.
In the case you was referring to you was arguing player was more inclusive (than man)
It’s whole new team from last season thoughWho is this bunch of players/team we're seeing ?
Absolutely fantastic to a man
Love a manager who makes pro-active subs to change a game too
I'm loving Big Ange instead !!
It’s whole new team from last season though
In reality we have one CB from last season
A whole new midfield
And the attack is 2/3 of last season[/QUOTE]
more like 1/10
Interesting that Sarr (I feel) showed some inexperience, understandably, in the second half. Got a bit clumsy after a couple of poor touches, but he’ll learn, he’s so young.
Good that we have experienced heads to come in for him, and when Bentancur is back that will be a nice headache for Ange.
it is
How/to who? Who is excluded by calling someone man of the match in mens football?
Idgaf personally as player of the match/man of the match as a title for an award is interchangeable but i just find the argument that one is more inclusive than the other a bit weak
Just one real worry for me...Richarlison. I think he has no first touch, more pressing is the fact that he is a weakling mentally. His head dropped real fast and his attitude led to a bit of a crisis in the team and we seemed to drop our bundle a little bit. Ange could see and answered my prayers my dragging him. He is not the answer I'm afraid.
