A bit risky posting such a comment at half time, but defensively, Royal is good, he gets back in quickly, he doesn't fudge about with it, better attacking output would be great, but, the game is played in two directions and we have suffered from erratic players in that part of the pitch for years.

when we get possession we almost always give Burnley time to get their 2 banks deep and they defend with everything.
Royal and maybe Kulu need to get balls in quicker. Kulu maybe had the best opening but he couldn’t control the cross

Burnley started off better but as the half went on their press became less effective. We haven’t really created any clear cut chances. Not that we didn’t have the chance, thinking Son not putting Kane in near the end. Just need to make sure we keep moving the ball quickish otherwise we won’t get the space to create them.

When we attack, Burnley are happy to let us get it wide to Royal and Sess as neither will cross first time, they always chop back inside, get confused and scuff it back to the centre back.
Sess put one first time cross in right at the end and it was beautiful. They will both be getting a rollocking right now.
