Whilst we were breaking.

We have no stability. No ability to build and refine a set of players or system. A mess.

Considering the kids who are playing and the senior players who are burnt out, we are playing okay. We are in a bit of a hole now. We need more quality on the pitch. Ange isn't as bad as many make out, but there are issues with the way we play. Our press is ineffective, and teams always get too many openings to score.

We’ve had a few games like that that looked close but were anything but.

Villa have their problems and they absolutely dingdonged us aside from 15 mins after half time and injury time.

An absolute masterclass of tactical ineptitude. You can see pundits are on the verge of saying “Ange doesn’t know what he’s doing” but they don’t want to go in that hard on him. He hasn’t a clue - it’s untenable now.

We have one slight chance of salvaging the season. We aren’t doing it with Ange. Levy has to act or the season is over.

Liverpool with FSG is an easy example of even Arsenal down the road. Both work within the same confines as ourselves although the self limits they impose are higher than our own of course. Hell even Brighton with their buy and sell model (I have no issues working that way, I think we should be in fact).

Fundamentally none of them have wasted the years we did by sacking Pich and replacing with completely unsuited managers that has created a legacy of confused and convoluted squads that has taken years to try and sort out. We are semi on the way but the managerial side is a shambles and honestly I do think our struggle to get a manager of real quality is due to that spell of nonsense that was Mourinho, Nuno and then Conte.

If I'm a Slot I look at the Tottenham setup and say to myself. "They don't know what they're doing. I'll give this opportunity a miss thanks".
