This was all new on me. Are they knocking down IKEA and replacing it with all this?
👷♀️👷 We welcomed @KateOsamor MP to #LeeValleyRail programme to show progress to build new 5.5km track, upgrade Northumberland Park and the construction of the new #MeridianWater station in Enfield to allow an additional 2 trains per hour to run from 2019.🚄🚄 pic.twitter.com/rp3ggp1HMi

News to me also, quick search online suggests it's further south than where IKEA is
That map makes it look closer to NWHL than Northumberland Park.News to me also, quick search online suggests it's further south than where IKEA is
It's not. It's 1,2 km in straight line. NTP is only 750 meters away. That map makes it look closer to NWHL than Northumberland Park.

Naughty corner.
I would be surprised if the massive residential development is going ahead in this climate. Even the Spurs tower blocks might be delayed with the trepidation around the housing market and Brexit. Any investor or developer spending millions on the build needs to know there will be demand once the homes are complete.
It’s Enfield building it, and it’s predominantly affordable, keyworker and social. So investor demand is less relevant. 10,000 units is a hell of a lot, though.
Suspect this may have something to do with it -The council? Probably because they couldn't get a developer to take on the risk. The council will still need to borrow, get investment etc Far from a forgone conclusion I'd guess. Maybe they could do in small stages, bit by bit.
Anyone in England pronouncing it Nikey is a wrong un
I'm a wrong un then. It's an American company and they pronounce it Nikey.
Are you on of those people who say 'Ralph La ren' rather than Ralph Lauren Bill?![]()
I pronounce it Lauren as i would say the name in England
Do you pronounce Nutella New-tel-ah?
