Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

But then there's the hour queuing through Heathrow, because the Border Agency have no staff. And then the 2 hours stuck in traffic round the west and north-west sides of the M25.
Not if you have NFL money there isn't. No problem with a helicopter to one of the many pads near or at the airport.

All the security stuff will be done at check in and if they can't do that they'll open up a specific gate for them all. If you or I can skip past pleb security just by virtue of owning a particular credit card, I'm fairly sure the NFL can find their way past it.

Helicopter from Heathrow to? Isn't London's heliport at Battersea?

Also remember the squad (aren't there 100s of them?) would probably not be able to travel in groups of more than 5s or 6s for insurance reasons.

You can helicopter to right next to Heathrow or even directly if you have enough advance notice.

I think they would probably check into a hotel, rather than fly directly to the ground for a game. Just a thought in this vital logistical debate.

Edit: Levy has it all sussed. Helicopter to the training ground where they can sleep and train? What is the overnight capacity there?

I'd expect the NFL teams to chart planes for the journey. Some of them bring huge amounts of equipment for each game.

Edit. The Patriots own two 767s.

According to Nolan, the big advantage of having your own plane is that you can modify the thing. Since all other NFL teams charter a plane from a major airline, they're not allowed to make any modifications. On the other hand, the Patriots are now able to make the inside of the plane as comfortable as possible.

"The players historically have sat on coach seats on a domestic aircraft, so what we did with these seats, was first, we got the widest and largest seat that you can put on this plane," Nolan said. "Most importantly, from a player perspective, we've added five-inches of legroom beyond what a typical first-class seat has."

...

The big advantage for the Patriots here is that they don't have to deal with chartering a plane anymore. Trying to get a charter has turned into a nightmare for NFL teams. Going into the 2017 season, at least eight teams were dumped by the commercial airline that they had been chartering with, which means they were all stuck looking for a last minute replacement.

I meant where would they land in Tottenham? Would we need to take over the school on Worcester Avenues playing field or something?
They'd be going to their hotel wouldn't they? I'd imagine most of the big hotels have somewhere nearby where they could land.

When the mrs and her colleagues fly the London teams out for champions league games they all fly out of a VIP terminal in a London airport. They get coaches to the airport then get flown out.

I'd assume the NFL teams would do the exact opposite and fly into the big airports via their own planes or chartered planes and then drive down to the ground.

When they're flying within the US they often check in at the training ground or stadium. Then they can go direct to the flight from where they park.

Isnt there a complex being built for the players to stay in at the training ground?
