This is comfortably going to be the best stadium in the UK. Wembley included.
Next time you're watching a match at home put the seat on the couch. Then pull the coffee table in close to your knees and get each family member to squeeze by in front of you, back and forth in rotation. Finally get another family member to shout obscenities about Sissoko through the door every few minutes (even if he is not playing).I know, I do it a little myself... Oh well, could've been worse. I think.
Now I wonder where I'll put that piece of plastic...
It might be related to the retractable pitch. Having a lighter structure above would allow the stand to require less support (in the engineering sense).Loving the pictures especially the south stand. Why is it a steel structure rather than concrete like the others? I'm guessing due to the single tier it was better to design it that way rather than a necessity.
LOL, picture looks photoshopped
I thought they look like they're about to have a cuddle!!
Mostly due to speed - we couldn't start building the south stand until much later than the other stands, plus weight to some extent although I think they are using concrete terracing rather than thinner steel composite. Did you see those videos of 'bouncing' terraces from Germany? Scary stuff, I hope the concrete keeps it solid, not bouncy!Loving the pictures especially the south stand. Why is it a steel structure rather than concrete like the others? I'm guessing due to the single tier it was better to design it that way rather than a necessity.
