Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Obviously MK for us Northern Monkeys, my problem is looking at the playing side of things. We will be playing 19 aways and 19 neutral matches, even worse if its Wembley, it will be like playing 19 Cup finals because every team will no doubt up their game playing there.
It is going to be a very tough season resultswise

But then you have to sit in a dirty, smelly carriage with a load of other people. The thing departs and arrives at a time that suits them and not you. It invariably leaves from and arrives to nowhere near your start point or destination. It doesn't stop when/where you want it to stop, it doesn't hang around when you're running late or go faster to make up that time.

The whole idea is just preposterous. Far better to use a civilised mode of transport.
Oh yeah of course, you mean mostly the likes of us, the hoipoli, the ones you'll have to put up with all the way through the match :D

I like large groups of people in a match environment. I wouldn't invite most of them to share my car with me.
I would happily sit in white hart lane if it was just me in the whole stadium, it is actually one of my fantasies that and Liz Hurley fudging me in the arse with a black strap on while having a belt tied round my neck and custard poured over my face.

MK stadium is a mare for larking a sits built around the Asda and IKEA as they paid for it all

The train station is too far away although it's an ok walk from Bletchley station

I live 20 mile away and my journey there will only be about 20 minutes less than to WHL station

However I can't see any alternative as i don't see Wembley happening with Chelsea's influence in there

According to Google Maps: Bletchley Station is 1.6 miles from MK Stadium which is apparently the same walking distance as Seven Sisters to WHL.

Although, as you say, there's not much in the way of pubs around there to help break up the schlep; it's a pity that the Aspers casino got built on the other side of MK.

I have To admit that when I've been in the local train I get off somewhere random as we have one that stops at about 15 locations on the way

How did I end up in the Vice Den? I'm sure I clicked on the stadium thread

the m1 in rush hour is no fun at all.MK isn't ideal but its only for one season.Though also don't see why we can't use the olympic stadium.

If chelsea manage to get all their planning permission signed off and dealt with inside 2 years with no complaints or anything then they are paying someone. They may well want it for those seasons but who will say they will actually need it then.

I think it's quite obvious their aim is to prevent us from using Wembley, regardless of whether they will need it for that season.

Why discount driving? Its usually by far the best way of getting anywhere.

Indeed it is, I won't argue with you there at all.... However if attending the football I wouldn't mind having a couple of beers before and/or after the game.

I guess I could just get a cab to/from the game as I often do now, but at 57 miles each way instead of the 6 miles or so I currently have to WHL from Woodford it is likely to be a little more costly as well as a lot more time consuming.

You drive straight off the M1, straight to the stadium and park. MK as a town is designed for cars.

Much easier than driving to the outskirts of London to park, train into KX-St P, tube, 7S walk
Stadium MK has 2,000 car parking spaces for a stadium with a capacity of 30,500.... Good luck trying to land one of those when we have almost 30,000 driving up from London/Essex/Kent/Surrey/Sussex/Hertfordshire. I guess you could get there really early to make sure you get a parking space and then go for a few beers before the game.... Oh wait... Maybe not!

I bet if 3 or 4 of you clubbed together to hire a chauffeur to drive your car it'd be as cheap as 3 or 4 train fares.

Then it would leave when you want, from your door and have the advantage of not being a train.
