Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I find it poor literally everywhere, Costa, Bucks......so hard to get just good black coffee
I brought coffee for the last 3 years
Scary how much I learned about the quality control vs the taste that the big companies did. Company in NL called pelican rouge roasted pretty much any volume based coffee across the whole of Europe

Hahaha

I am like a 60 year old man with it now (no offence to anyone of that vintage) but I take my metal container with the fine grounded Azteca stuff when I travel so I have decent coffee on work trips and abroad.

I’m not that fussy but expect for £3.50 for the beans to be decent and fresh and the milk to be too
Instant sold at premium prices is a joke

Ive just spent the last hour going through these pages from page 1, to here (skipping loads of course). Everyone's excitement to being tinkled off after delays after delays (talking about moisture under the flaps), to the Inter legends vs Spurs Legends games, and the grand opening.

Good reminiscing, and I liked those days. Wish we had happier days now.

2025 is the year to be positive.

It was such an exciting time. Some of the malaise we feel now is because we aren’t on that exciting journey anymore. It’s a black and white win a trophy or bust now.

I used to be a head of procurement for a huge total facilities company who run the place for customers such as banks, hospitals and factories
I looked after engineering and food
Food isn’t my area so I made a point of working with the experts
Pelicans rouge are a roasters in Dordrecht in the Netherlands
They were a supplier of mine for our own branded coffee (white label) and also other big brands (Starbucks, Nero, lavazza) as well as many many others ad they are the largest roasters in the world
They also supply coffee and sell through those brands under their food business Selecta (vending and unmanned shops)
PM me with what you would like to know
Safe to say it was an eye opener especially around high street brands

Quite a weird concept giving it the whole Paris Boulangerie line....then find out it's a South Korean company.

I get piggy backing on the whole..all french bread is wonderful (it is) vibe but then the authenticity takes a nose dive.
Interestingly I have used the one on High Street Ken and remember doing the old Danny Rose, not one mention that its Korean on the UK site for that reason I imagine, trying to make it the authentic experience.

But yeh like I said earlier the Parisian Coffee done Korean style thing is funny

Yep. No different from Frankie & Benny's (Leicester), Haagen Dazs (New York), Nando's (South Africa), or Madri beer (Yorkshire). As long as there are people who look wistfully at far-off lands, there'll be local brands trying to sell them stuff.

Took my 2 boys on the Stadium tour over Christmas and I was a bit annoyed to find out that they have changed it slightly from when I went a few years back. Instead of a small group with an assigned guide, talking you through each section, you now all get given a head set and a bulky iPad like thing to hang around your neck and then pretty much left to do the tour yourself (in a much bigger group).

It doesn't seem like a big change but one of my boys couldn't be arsed carrying the bulky thing and the other one spent most of the tour asking me which section we were on so he can find the corresponding recording!
I suppose I get it, There was a lot of different nationalities in our group and they all needed to chose a different language head set thing etc. but it took away a lot of the charm of the tour. For me the best bits were the cheesy tour guide parts when the fella makes Arsenal jokes and speaks to the kids and asks them if they want to sit in the press conference chair or tells them which seat in the dugout is Anges etc.

I don't know, They enjoyed it enough I guess, Especially getting pictures in the home changing rooms and seeing the dugouts and all that, But it was definitely not as good for myself second time around.

It's a week after Christmas, the bills are piling up, a lot of people are worried about their jobs, there's weather warnings all over the country, but hey it's all because we're can't organise a sing song.

Over the years, I've been to multiple late, mid week games with brick weather and/or transport concerns and the turnout is always light .. yes, poor runs of form will push a few people not to take the extra effort but typically par for course.
