Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I'd be disappointed if we start next season with Bentaleb as our midfield passer or Kane as our 2nd choice striker.

And if he has a say in the makeup of his squad this summer, maybe that won't be the case. Meanwhile...

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I think you're overstating the importance of those players regarding the first team. Whilst one or both may become permanent fixtures over the longer term, I'd be disappointed if we start next season with Bentaleb as our midfield passer or Kane as our 2nd choice striker.

Probably a fair point, I think most would be. I do think Bentaleb will make it, I don't think Kane will.

I still contest that sticking with what he knows is far safer than taking on a new team. Had he been an external appointment then that would have been the brave option, as Loans to Swindon Manager then it was the safe one.

This is nonsense though. It was the safest option to throw two young players with absolutely no previous premier league experience in at the deep end?? I don't think so. Put it this way, had Bentaleb been an absolute disaster would you be saying, we'll I suppose Tim Sherwood is the 'loans to Swindon' manager, so he knows who is good and who's not, so if he thinks Bentaleb is good, he's probably right.

Again you're doing that thing where you take things that should be credited to him (the fact that he was able to judge that Bentaleb and Kane were good enough, no matter what his previous job role) and using as a stick to beat him with.

I think that makes a grand total of two of you.

I don't think he's done enough to merit the job. If his interviews we're a little less cringe-worthy he may have a little more credibility, but credit where credit is due. Had it not been for him, no-one on here would have a clue who Bentaleb is, and the majority (including me) would have written Harry Kane off completely because he runs about with his mouth open when he plays.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Surely no one can disagree that TS has done the odd good thing and the odd bad. Whether he deserves to be spurs manager now and next season is the key question. I'd say TS was like marmite but there are probably more people that like marmite than Tim.

My biggest issue, and his biggest weakness is his gob and his media manner- it really is the Sherwood show, he loves to stir it up, lay it on, ply up to the ****ney boy just having a larf stereotype. It's so difficult to take him seriously. The fact that he's like that and has no backstory to allow us to give him so leeway just makes the fans angrier. Sure you can say its because he's raw blah blah blah but that's just making excuses. He just does not care how he comes across with anyone. It's not a great example / role model for anyone to follow.

Video of the lads in training today. Wasn't until I watched a second time to work out who the bloke in the white top was that I realised it was Sherwood. He looked capable enough out there, but then again surely the coach is better off on the sidelines watching the players and correcting them instead of joining in??

I'd guess he really is off this summer no matter what, else I'd think he'd be doing more than playing. That or he knows its the end of the season (almost) and just fancied a kick about.

Deadwood talking ******** again:

Tottenham fans only like signings, unlike Liverpool who love homegrown talent. Well if we had had a proper youth development programme over the last 15 years maybe we would have had some more decent homegrown talent to support and why the **** do you think we are so bitter over Scumbell?

Nevilles and Carraghers are better value than flash in the pans like Ronaldo who will be off after 2 or 3 years ....did you real compare Phil Neville and Jamie Carragher to C Ronaldo, Timmy?? Really???

I am actually starting to move into the hate camp against Sherwood, he pretend he is a club man but if he was he would know spurs fans love home grown players yes we like flair players. But the is huge support for home grown players and they usually get the biggest cheers.

If the chairman said that we were going to save the money from bale and put towards the stadium and promote youth players instead I think he would have got a lot of support from the fans who would have understood and supported the players.

Sherwood really needs to learn when to shut up.

It is that old quote about letting people think you are stupid and quiet rather then opening your mouth and removing all doubt from peoples minds.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Was just starting to drop my guard and think about warming to the guy and then he comes out and spouts this ****. What an absolute bellend. Most fans would love to see one of their own come through but at the end of the day if that means you put up with a kid that never amounts to anything to the detriment of the club then you are a mug. If he actually asked the fans he'd find that most wanted to keep Caulker, they want to see Townsed progress but want to see Kane and Bentaleb get EPL loans to get them the experience at the top level they need.

Face it, this prick wants to get a reaction from somewhere and is just sticking the knife in every time he can. To his Liverpool argument I will counter with this, Mignolet, Jonhnson, Sakho, Skrtel, Coutinho, Henderson, Sturridge and Suarez are not home grown Liverpool talent. Sterling and Flanagan are exciting prospects and are home grown, fair enough and of course you have Gerrard but damn Sherwood makes out like their entire team is home grown. Jay Spearing was home grown yet he was sold and in came that fancy dan Coutinho.

I do agree with the fact that we have bought in too many players and there needs to be space for our youth to flourish, but at the end of the day the club can't afford to fall behind the competition whilst the blood a new starting 11.

****ing bellend PE teacher

sterling was a QPR lad I remember saying we should sign him

We really should look at Gomes at Charlton going to be an awesome defender. Yeah Sherwood is just talking cr*p for the sake of it now.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

So basically Flanagan is the only true home grown player there of this generation. Sterling I think is still technically home grown because of how many years he has been there, but I could be wrong

Cochise, Chich....you are being so so naughty by highlighting every TS-BS session. Don't you know he is speaking from the heart, showing his passion and guts for the club?*

You both need to be disciplined

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

We do have a tendency to turn on players once the honeymoon period is over

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

No different from any other club. Hell just listen to bile that the UTD fans spew about Cleverly. I'm not saying he is a brilliant player but he's not done well this season and the fans can see that, much like how our fans watch players like Townsend and pick apart what he does wrong on the pitch. Some are hyper critical but deep down I think most actually just want to see one of our own make it to the top.

Some of the **** chucked at Walker in his second season was very counter productive.

Dear GHod.

I actually stuck up for him for months and on a purely football note he is not the worst manager we have ever had but he is no way anywhere near the best, fcuking macaron.

Best??? we took some massive spankings under him, failed to get going in other games and made stupid individual errors in games, the players fault maybe but he prepares them so the is some blame on him.
