The *WHEN* we go down thread

You know results today and 2mw is not gonna go our way
Yeah the only result any chance to go our way is the Goons losing. I can't see Forest not getting 3 points at home to Burnley. The Spammers have the fortune of playing a Palace side who were pictured out partying following them getting the Conference league semi, and Wharton had to come off injured in that game.

Overall, the only team I think we have a small chance of catching is Forest and it's likely they will be 5 points clear of us by the end of the day....

I actually think our January would have been exactly the same under Levy. When you look at the entire PL, there was only one transfer of note and that was Semenyo to City. We were involved in 2 of the other top 5 or 6 deals. Only one year ago our recruitment team under Levy were getting lambasted for not acting early in January in the middle of an injury crisis, only bringing in Kinsky early Jan and the waiting around to the end of the window for Tel and Danso. I have no reason to believe this Jan under Levy would have yielded a different outcome. An outcome that made a difference. The deals weren't there and our brand (to players) had fallen so low under Levy it was becoming harder and harder to convince them to join us.

Levy probably would have acted earlier on Frank. Shame he could never hire the right managers in the first place though. That was the actual root cause for why he had to keep firing the gun. Frank was no different.

I think everything that happened after the Lewis's stepped in, starting in March '25 with the appointment of Peter Charrington, has too many question marks over who was pulling the strings.

On the face it of it, Vinai was brought in to run footballing operations and him and Lange worked together on that side of things from that point - they were the public faces around the Frank appointment, in the promo videos and talking about their shortlist and rigorous testing process to arrive at the decision they arrived at.
