My thought too. I think in CM you want 5 players for the two positions given the heavy workload and something like PEH, GLC, Skippy, Winks and then replacing Sissoko with a box to box CM would give us a decent balance in my view and two home grown players

We need as many options as we can get there
What’s clear is the players we have need rest time to play to their max

It seems to have ruined Bale - at least for now. We can't wait for a season for Militao to gain form/ fitness/ sharpness.
 
I'd take anyone half reasonable that we can get on loan at centre back and anyone half reasonable who can play quick incisive passes forward in the centre of midfield.

Of course Jose wouldn't have the guts to drop Ndombele deeper to play with Hojbjerg or get us playing 20 yards higher up the pitch anyway so it's immaterial.

I doubt he wants to commit to a contract there. Better to loan for 6 months in case (until!) they go down. On the off chance they stay up and he is happy then he could sign permanently but to be honest if he plays well he would probably want to keep his options open for somewhere better anyway. That's modern football I think.

Can't be that annoyed or else he wouldn't have brought him on last night, I think it's time he left anyway. In 7.5 seasons he's not really contributed much of note.

Yeah I posted it before that game based on what he’d said about his availability. Was surprised to see him come on tbh, obviously the hate for Dele runs very deep!
 
hate ? suitability perhaps.

anyway I think dele is on his way out and a significant fee is needed to reinforce others area of the pitch for jm's gamelan to work.
