the Tim Sherwood man love thread

Noooooo! Noooooo!

Why not wait ONE MORE WEEK???

I was hoping this would be the year that boring stain on premier league football finally got relegated

I wonder who they will get to replace him. They must have been sounding out people these last few weeks.

Rodgers and Moyes appear to be the names getting most mentions. I wonder if Redknapp would fancy it? It is about the same distance from Sandbanks as we are.

Timmeh will console himself thinking that while he didn't do so well at Villa he is still, in his mind, the best Tottenham manager ever.

After yesterday it was so obvious he would get the bullet today, even moreso when we were there next match. Future predictions -
Mourinho to walk/get sacked Monday 23rd November
McLaren to lose his job Monday 7th December
It's written in the stars

A talent like Sherwood needs to be at a club where the players are on the same level as him. Realistically, how could he be expected to do a job at Villa given what he had to work with? I'd like to see him replace Wenger at Arsenal and am confident that we would see the full range of his skills there.

The Captain's ship has sailed...frankly it's a shock he made it this far...prepare yourself for much waffling from him on TV now...

I'm going to miss him. Hated his tenure at Spurs, but genuinely laughed at his every interview since.

For me, he isn't cut out to manage at this level, as he is too willing to place blame on others. The comment about the club being in a hole highlighted that. Like when he was at Spurs, he sent out his Villa teams in total disarray with no organisation or plan.

Can see him going to Norwich before the season is over. Just a hunch

Yep, with us having got Klopp, we are going to set the record for facing the most new managers in one season

Extremely reasoned and fair comment mate. I think many of us have felt that for a long time, but (in my case anyway) the sheer dislike of how he managed to discharge all responsibilities when with us and fudging up made me quite bitter towards him. But you have succinctly stated the facts.

I've seen in the past that managers, even the ones who hasnt done anything, rotates between different clubs in England.
It has become a bit better in the last decade, but I would like to know who would gamble on Timmeh now.

He is a good talker, his big mouth talkes a lot about how good he is. And both Levy and Villa bought into it.

I would really like to know who leaked stories to the press about "Sherwood didnt get the players he wanted" a week or two ago. Funnily he said in August and September that he had scouted the players well, and the foreigners were all "good value for money".
My guess is Timmeh did the leaks himself. After all he's got a lot of good friends in the press, and a lof of them have of course spoken soooo well about him.

But a club taking a gamble on this joke of a manager now? I really hope no club is that stupid.
Maybe he could learn by doing a job in the lower leagues, but my feeling is he is too happy with himself. Probably he thinks he is too good to do a job "down there". And I dont think he will never learn to listen to others advice, and never know he is doing a big mistanke talking his own players down in media.
And he talks them down, just a couple of days before he has been saying "I take full responsibility".
