We do sit back a fair bit, but defend well when we do. Low xG, long shots, average crosses will happen.
On the flip side we're rather good at counter attacking, situations where getting closer to goal, higher xG chances is easier.
Still a bit surprising. May be a sample size thing, will be interesting to see if it continues in a similar way.
Not sure on the counter attacking leading to getting closer to goal line (higher xg chances sure) imo when through on goal our forwards will often shoot from further out as the goal keeper is more likely to come off his line - Citys usual type of attacking with high positional/possession play and lots of cutting in from wide and playing cut backs is what i would associate with the type of football leading to short distance shots being taken.
