Thought as much, GHod I hate that guy.
He is the worst. I take some consolation in the fact that, while being the world's richest man, he is also one of the unhappiest.

At the turn of the millennium there were fewer than 1000 satellites in orbit. Now there about 14-15k, of which two thirds are Starlink. He plans to have about 100k of them at some point.

BepiColombo managed to seperate it’s two orbiters from the transport module yesterday - the intention is they will be in place for science missions mid november ahead of science missions starting in April.

It’s taken since 2018 to get there.

Mercury is an oddball with some indications from its chemistry and structure suggesting it was born further out in the solar system and was smashed up losing a lot of its outer layer (mantle) and leaving its internal structure unevenly distributed before re stabilising in a very elliptical orbit much closer to the Sun.

We know very little about it so I think 2027 will be full of Mercury news.

I've heard Mercury wants to break free.
