Dragged my arse halfway across Florida last year for them to cancel with 15 minutes to launch.

I know there is a reason for space exploration but what is it? Honestly I can't be arsed to look it up and if someone can summarise the benefit in a paragraph would be great

Pushing the boundaries of technology is always useful. Often the gains aren't directly related but they're substantial.

In terms of direct value, regular moon travel will likely have to exist before a manner mission to Mars can. Will probably be a low-G staging point.

I don't like the way he immediately sues anyone trying to publish real world range data on his 'cars' and I have heard some fairly troubling things about his previous relationships too.

Probably best you find that info somewhere with a bigger legal budget than mine though.
