The Other Clubs Transfer Rumours and News Thread

He's only repeating what he hears from agents and others involved in football. Likelyhood that he was fed a story about Snejder that wasn't true = Very high.

Milan are after two players this window, Kaka and Balotelli. But will have to take paycuts I presume.

From The Journal:

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have completed the signing of Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa for an undisclosed fee - with three more French players set to join him.

Bordeaux striker Yoan Gouffran revealed on Twitter last night he was on the verge of a move to Tyneside, with Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissko and Nancy left-back Maassadio Haidara believed to be on their way.

Highly-rated Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is also open to a move to Saudi Sportswashing Machine if a deal can be struck with Sporting Lisbon.

David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn has had a successful trial with Chelsea and will join the club's academy. http://

Sources close to Roma player Miralem Pjanic (22) confirm that Barcelona have contacted Roma, although no formal offer has been made.

Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila has turned down the chance to move to the Premier League and signed for Russian side Rubin Kazan.

The Ligue 1 confirmed the move on Wednesday after accepting a bid for the player who had been linked with QPR and Fulham among other teams.

Rubin had also been in the mix to sign the 22-year-old but their pursuit was in some doubt because of a domestic transfer embargo over unpaid debts to their former player Roman Adamov.

The move to Russia is reported to be more lucrative for M'Vila, who is banned from representing France until June 2014 over an unauthorised night out when on U21 international duty.

A Rennes statement read: "Stade Rennais, FC Rubin Kazan and Yann M'Vila have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of the French international.

"After the traditional medical visit, the Rennes midfielder joined the Russian club officially on Wednesday evening."

Well why not, he's banned from French football. No need to be in the spotlight to get in world cup squad. Might as well take some pounds and come to prem or somewhere in a few years.

The Russian league isn't that poor anymore, some decent teams around.

Coloccini has told Saudi Sportswashing Machine that he wont play for the club again

Coutinho was quality against us as a teenager. We definitely need to get in on the act for this one. If we don't Saints will arguably have 2 creative midfielders better than what we have.

He most certainly was not. Overrated. Why would Inter let him go and why are Southampton, Aston Villa and Liverpool the ones that are after him?

Their new defender from Montpelier is meant to be pretty good. So they could be no worse off. Maybe even better off?

I think they're actually better off, considering Coloccini's age and form this season. Good value too - Carr's been pretty good at executing deals (don't always agree with his targets, but he's very good at getting the players).
