SHould have drawn a line under the "golden generation" and give the young players a chance. Players like Gerrard and Lampard have bottled enough big tournaments for us

which young players, england arent exactly blessed with youngsters coming through

apart from Downing id say that squad is pretty spot on......best of a bad bunch

i wouldnt take Lennon, he hasnt sparkled consistently this season and is a bit injury prone atm

This is bad. This team will not do well, Hodgson will be sacked and the Redknapp circus will start up again.

I can count about 5 players on that list who should be nowhere near the squad

Dont understand why take Downing when he already has Young, Walnut, Oxlade C and Milner who can play out wide

Amazed by leaving Sturridge out. He's been better than Defoe and Carroll this year

From an outsider.....Crouch should be in.....Downing........no goals..no assets this year.....Carroll been picking splinters most of the season......

it shows how many englishmen actually play in the premiership and are first choices for their clubs.......

You need 1 target man so it was either him, Zamora, Holt or Crouch. None are grea - pretty balanced call if you ask me. Iwould have gone for Crouch given his international record though

huffed and puffed a lot when Arsenal were in the midst of their bad spell but there wasn't much quality there - just looked good because he was the only one putting any effort in

and how the Hell is Carrick not involved ? should be one of the first names on the team sheet !

5 or 6 of that squad aren't even first pick for their clubs.... Defoe, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wellbeck, Cahill! We really, really lack depth. England will be home on the first plane!
