The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

They’ll win plenty of leagues for sure. But that level of dominance over the best part of 2 decades? Nah, I don’t see it, nor do I expect to see the likes of Fergie again in my lifetime. Obnoxious git but a genius football manager. A madman almost. Pep is clearly at the top now but I wouldn’t say he’ll last too long more.

Peps biggest threat is himself currently, if he wants to call it a day, he is hard to replace.

United are now in a bad cycle, I think this season is already a write off for them, Evans and Maguire ending the game can not be under played, Sancho and Ten Hag having a war of words, its just a mess. They have added rubbish to an already rubbish squad and that means they need at least a year to see it out and get rid before another overhaul, thats the best case scenario IF they get a good manager and/or DOF in that can cut straight to the bleeding and get it done quick.

I don't see United doing anything for a fair time

if Levy was running United...

Tell you what, if we play son through the middle and he presses Allison and ederson the way he pressed the Burnley keeper it's going to be an uncomfortable afternoon for them.
Both take too many risks and aren't as good on the ball as they think they are.

He's quick but if you're confident on the ball you can easily beat him, can't think of a time when he caught a defender in possession.

It's not the catching them with the ball it's the hurried passing. Maddison has already cut out a couple of balls on around the box, with city especially who won't change their style of play there's opportunity there.

As usual... The insightful bits in the comment section... And lots of spurs fans too.

we have to be very careful playing out too ... we're very similar now! I want us to maintain our 100% record versus Emirates Marketing Project :p it's the arse, bin dippers and chavs I really want to thump

Liverpool struggle with a pressing team.

Jenas saying Liverpool playing at this time frame needs looking at as they have had players away for the international break etc. So Wolves also not playing then no? Just Liverpool?

That Liverpool defence is all over the place! But Wolves need to take advantage and get a 2nd goal, otherwise those scousers will punish wolves eventually.

Klopp moaning, water is wet. That said, saw a stat that showed Liverpool had played the early game after international break 12 times out of last 20. Next on the list was Spurs with 6. Guess which two clubs had none.... No price for guessing correctly.
