I've never felt like commenting on it. It was always their sad little celebration to make themselves feel better when they were stagnating. We should be too busy thinking about ourselves to go waving a celebration at them.
The only thing any club in the premiership should be doing is having a plan to win the title. Not saying it is realistic every team can win it. But even Fulham should have a plan.
Stage 1, rebuild come back up
Stage 2 stay in prem while building a squad of balanced young and experienced players all who wish to improve.
Stage 3 Become a regular top half team.
Stage 4 despite the loss of good players to bigger teams, regular scouting and a long term plan for a manager who knows the club, stay in top half of the table.
Stage 5 compete with the top 6 teams.
Stage 6 Push for top 4 status.
Stage 7 Become regular top 4 team.
Stage 8 Compete for title.
Now for a team like Fulham it could take 15 years, but a club has to be well run financially has to have a style of play throughout from the youth team to the first team and a good consistent scouting system.
At no point should you be aiming to just finish above their neighbours.
