There's a case for saying that if they can't finish in the top four then missing out on the Europa would be a blessing. They might have a tilt at the title with no other distractions.

Chelsea wouldn't have been able to field an unchanged side this season if they'd had to cope with two games a week. It is a definite advantage of you have a top four(ish) quality team.
