The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

Wenger on Sanchez - "We’re going with Giroud and Welbeck up front because we will need to be a bit more direct and strong in the air.”

Not going to say what I think about that just yet. :p

2-0 Pool. Scum won't get anything out of this.

Personally I think a liverpool win is better for us that an Arse win, though obviusly a draw infinitely better than either team winning

An injury for Mane would be quite nice; they're toothless without him

Yes, as they'll have a game in hand over us, so better that they're further behind.

Agree, a draw would be better though.

I actually thought that would make sense as liverpool would press the hell out of tippy tappy. Then I remembered that Arsenal that don't turn up to these games especially when it is cold and wet.

Wenger's plan to get behind the ball isn't a bad one, but he has midfielders who are not defending and centre-halves who are ropey as phuck. Arsenal fan TV will be good, this may end up 4-0.

Having Iwobi on the pitch and Sanzhez on the bench though, that's not good...

Looks like he'll be on 2nd half, maybe we can still hope for the draw. 2nd prize is Arsenal getting phucking stuffed though.

Yeah, I agree that hitting it long wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for Scum, but leaving out Sanchez, considering how he's been carrying this team more or less by himself, just makes very little sense. He's been more involved during his firs two minutes on the pitch than Giroud was all first half. :p
