Didn't the commentator just say that that was Saudi Sportswashing Machine's heaviest away defeat for 25 years. Is he just ignoring their away defeat against us a couple of seasons ago?
Think he meant opening day defeat. They get caned away from home pretty often.
Whoever had the idea that Jamie Carragher should be a TV pundit? Cringeworthy.

City looked great, but Saudi Sportswashing Machine seemed naive and got carved open several times before the goal as well. Looked very disjointed and I think serious questions should be asked about Pardew's team selection after that.
Would not be sorry to see Pardew be first PL manager to lose his job. So many things to dislike about the man from the way Hughton was treated to give him the job, his macaronic comments before our game last season and his silly nasally voice.
Agree. The result was definitely half down to Emirates Marketing Project's quality and half down to Saudi Sportswashing Machine's lack of same. They were really woeful at times. Based on that performance, Saudi Sportswashing Machine will struggle to finish top half this year. And based on that performance City are title contenders. But who knows how representative tonight's performances are. It's a marathon, not a sprint after all.
If I was found of conspiracy theories I would be suggesting that Pardew sent out a team that would get trashed to convince the club to spend some money on reinforcements.
I will go with all of those!!
The players did not do it for Saudi Sportswashing Machine tonight, Reasons on a postcard but IMO Pardew.
I might be mistaken about some of them, but none of Cisse, Gouffran, Ben Arfa and Sissoko strike me as reliable players defensively. Starting all four of them seems strange. Tiote is obviously very good defensively, but he was left with way too much to do. Next to Gutierrez who works hard, but isn't a defensive midfielder that teams seems very lightweight defensively to me.
Can't expect defenders to perform up against the kind of players City have when they're not offered protection from their midfielders.
Wonderful crosses, passes and runs all game by Navas, fun to se a real old school winger.
