I want us to have a stadium that lights up like that.

We should have somethin like the Luxor hotel in Vegas - with something that lights up in the sky. awesome.

Is Gomes the one that had a lot of hype before a World Cup and totally failed? I'm sure it was a Brazilian born German

This
I bet 2-1 to the chavs in the office, normally my luck goes the other way - haven't been that impressed by Gomez when I've seen him play. Quite a few think this'll go to pens.

If it does you just know this will be the one time the Germans have a nightmare. Absolutely positive about that

I'll settle for Gomez playing like this and then finally hitting the target in injury time for a 1-0 win, Chelsea don't look like scoring.

Lets hope so. Chelsea have looked very open playing this defensively. I would hope if they should try to attack a touch more the spaces will be there even more to exploit.

Chelsea will keep attacking, pushing for a goal, as they change their approach to the game given confidence by Bayern's lack of threat in front of goal. Bayern then counter attack, Robben cuts in, shoots... the ball deflects off Luiz to Gomez and it's this time that counts as Gomez strikes high in to Cech's net to settle the game 1-0 to the German outfit. Spurs fans throughout the World can smile and look forward to Champions League fixtures of their own in 2012-2013.

Please come to pass!! Please!!

I disagree. It's a joke competition and we are better off using it to blood the kids.

A joke competition? No the bigger sides might think that however its a very winnable competition for us. Unfortunately, Redknapp seems to agree with the bigger clubs. I still think of it as the Uefa Cup anyway.

if it went back to its straight knock out routine, without parachuting failures into it - it would be worth taking a crack at

until that happens clubs like ours should treat it with the contempt it deserves

its not a joke competition and we have no right to disregard any competition.....how can we mock the scum for winning no trophies when we dont take the competitions we enter in seriously

Just had a look at a Gooner forum and there isn't one fan there that wants Chelski to win it.

Yeah, my gooner mates all want bayern...i think the longer it goes on, cahill and luis will tire and make more mistakes...bayern MUST remain patient and they'll win...

I would be all for taking it seriously if UEFA did rather than fudge around and ruin the format.

If Chelsea win tonight then I would rather that we concentrated on the league again next season and use the Europa League for fringe players and kids. Without this approach last season we might not have seen Livermore develop into a squad member.

i think we should be humble and just play by the rules of any competition we enter. same rules for everyone, whoever is allowed or not allowed to enter shouldnt matter. Reaching finals and trying to win is whats important

I agree, it used to be a really good cup.
