Southie - I want CL football - I desperately do and as you say we deserve it.

BUT

I disagree that we will attract the better players - simply because we dont have the finances to ATTRACT those better players.

Wouldn't it be amazing if the CL improved upon your finances somehow..

It would but guess what? I think the finances would a) be the following year and b) its not recurrent revenue stream (thats why Leeds when belly up for a bit cos they banked on that and considered it to be a recurring stream) so you cant consider it to be finances for wages and definitely not for this summer.

They wont. Blackpool look like they are having a 'Spurs Day' Think they could play till midnight and not score today

I agree. But I also enjoy laughing at West Ham and having a Championship side play in a half empty atmosphere-less Olympic stadium would be funny.

I can't say I feel particularly nervous about the CL final. The importance to Spurs has been massively overstated I feel. Whether its CL qualifiers or EL group stage I don't believe there will be a significant impact on the look of the Spurs side we see lining up on the first day.

We're still tending to a few self inflicted wounds from this season. Perhaps Chelsea will rub a little salt in tonight but that's about it. We certainly shouldn't be getting too stressed over this match whatever the result.

I think it will have a massive effect. There's an A list of targets and a B list of targets. It means a lot mate...

The down side of that is that West Ham think there's a rivalry between us - that makes the 6 points we always take off them that bit harder.
