The play offs really are the greatest games in the world.

I dont really watch football other than in the premiership and championship level but these play offs I will watch all day loooooong

Except Emirates Marketing Project were neither big or successful, they just had endless amounts of cash. Their wages are highest among the English clubs.

Of course, but any player signing knew that Emirates Marketing Project would be challenging for honours. Yes the money helps, but you can't say any player is going there solely for that reason.....

Really pleased for Crewe. They have always tried to play the right way and have always had a great youth system.
My mate is a crewe fan, I will definitely be going down to wembley. Nick powell lived on his roads and used to join in his kickabouts as a little kid playing with the big guys. Apparently he will definitely be a talent.

Course you can. Why didn't he sign for united? Reportedly interested in him at the time. Just didn't offer as much wonga as city. Plain as.

Well what an end to the season that was, I couldn't have written that myself. I was hoping for a Spurs/Saudi Sportswashing Machine top four finish, but after seeing the highlights from the West Brom game it was never in doubt with that keeper, unbelievable, I don't know much about Fulop but when he played for us he was outstanding, as you will know. I think given the venue of the CL final and, well, given the fact that Bayern are a much better side than Chelsea, I think you can be relatively calm about the final. How do you guys see your summer going? Obviously alot depends on whether you get CL football but do you see Bale and Modric staying? I think you finally have to get the cheque book out for a top class striker, and I think you will; who would you like to see come in? All the best in the summer.

Sergio Aguero dedicated his title-winning heroics to Emirates Marketing Project's fans after the most dramatic finale to a season in the Premier League.

Is that the same fans who didnt sell out for most of the season and didnt sell out for CL games at a reduced rate of ?ú20 per ticket..

While I'm here.. I borrowed this reply off somebody who was responding to a united rant:

I don't think you can sign for clubs 'reportedly interested' in you. Need something bit more concrete than that.....

His agent more than likely talked to several clubs before deciding on City. Just as RVP's agent is rumoured to have been talking to City for months already.

All you're doing is speculating. My point is simply that Nasri went to City to win trophies AND the money. He was offered a bumper deal to stay at Arsenal and whilst he's probably on more at City it's not like the increase would even be that big a deal to him he's on so much either way. But yes, the money helps....

But your speculating that his salary now isn't much of an increase? He was on around 80k at the scum. Don't know what he's on now but more than likely 6 figures. So more than a small hike!!!

Obviously he's got more chance of winning at the lottery winners, as has been proved, but the main reason he left scum, IMO, to join city is the money.

To be fair to Nasri:

2011/2012:

Arsenal: trophyless, again.
Manchester United: trophyless
Emirates Marketing Project: Premier league champions

Of course he's getting more money at Emirates Marketing Project than at Arsenal but he's also much more likely to be winning trophies (as he's already proved this season). As for Man utd, they're not exactly paupers are they? I doubt they were offering him 20 quid a week.

His motivations were partly money and partly trophies/glory. So just like every other one of these tacos.

Did anyone watch the u17 final earlier? Germany got a player max meyer or something if all goes to plan he'll be one hell of a player

Probably saw how many trophies the scum bags at chelsea won and knows he will do the same with bricky.

Yeah I'd expect he's on 6 figures, he was offered approx 6 figures to sign a new contract at Arsenal. Relatively speaking it is a small hike, what could you do earning 150k a week that you couldn't do earning say 80k a week?! Either way you've got a bulging balance.

Anyway, I didn't say the money didn't come into it but the opportunity to win things aswell was a factor and it wasn't just the fact City pay loads of wonga. If Arsenal offered exactly same wages as City who knows who he would have picked....

I have the feeling that, should we get in, we'll face Borussia Monchengladbach. They're as close as you can get to Spurs' sister club in Germany, right down to their characteristic underachievement and glory days in the seventies (which, quite honestly, were Germany's sixties). Shame they seem to like Liverpool, though.

Rocking stadium too:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borussia-Park

56k capacity for league games.

I do have a soft spot for BM for their cool name, groovy 70's vibe and long years of decadent underachievement. Very Spurs.

They do have a long standing connection with Liverpool for some reason (they played each other a couple of times in the 70s). Every other year loads of Liverpool fans travel over there and vice versa.

Ah the city bore is back, conveniently a few days after they have "won" the title, wouldve we have seen you if Aguero hadnt have bagged no we wouldnt

When you only earn decent money for a decade, it means a huge amount

He will have double the amount to retire on

And retirement for a footballer is like an entire career for the average worker

I reckon 99% of posters on this board would not be financially prepared to retire in their early 30s

I'd like to see Llorente, Remy and Dzeko. I think we'll get just Ade and possibly Remy in, though.

As for Bale, I think he'll stay for another year regardless. Modric, not sure. Depends on the CL.

As for your title win, congratulations. If you're a long-suffering fan, or even a fan who was around before Mansour, I'm pleased for you. If not, then you don't really count as a 'fan' in my book, not yet anyway.

Hate the way your club did it,though, and still have a faint hope that FFP means no other club can do what you, Chelski and the like have done, but hey, c'est la vie.
