Chamakh tested his relationship with Arsene Wenger at the weekend when he, along with Taarabt, was photographed holding a shisha pipe following the 2-1 loss to Rangers.

Taarabt scored in Mark Hughes’ side’s victory over the Gunners and he has since taunted Arsenal supporters on the social networking site by seeking approval for his goal from fans of his former club.

Taarabt’s tweet read: “lol yid fans that goal was for u guys against Arsenal a way to say thank you for the support when i was at Tottenham.”

making up for the 'I should have joined Arsenal' quote.

how is smoking shisha controversial? Vialli and Ginola were both heavy smokers as players.

Maradona putting City back in their place

Recent weeks have seen the Spanish league leaders linked with a sensational summer move for the former Atletico man.

The Argentine was on Real's radar before he joined City and now they are said to be stepping up their interest again with fellow countryman Gonzalo Higuain linked as part of a potential swap deal.

Aguero himself was quick to deny the suggestions that he could leave City when Real were linked last month and Jose Mourinho hit out at the ongoing rumours during a press conference on Tuesday.

But Maradona's quotes have again stoked up the flames of speculation.

Speaking to Argentine radio station La Red, Maradona said of his son-in-law: "Kun has to play for Real Madrid.

"Even though he is flying at City, the best thing would have been to sign for Madrid. He made a mistake.

"Now, as he is doing so well, it will be difficult to get him from City. However, if Madrid want someone, they get them."

Maradona insists that Real will pay the money needed to land Aguero.

"(President) Florentino (Perez) has no limits. It's a question of convincing City - but not with money because they have plenty of that," he added.

Because what Madrid need is another striker as they really have problems scoring goals

Jose already dismissed these rumours as pure flimflam

Mourinho refutes Higuain-Aguero talk

April 3, 2012

By ESPNsoccernet staff

Jose Mourinho has accused the press of attempting to "destabilise" his Real Madrid side after Sergio Aguero was linked with a move to Bernabeu and Gonzalo Higuain with an exit.

Reports on Tuesday suggested Real were lining up a summer swoop for Aguero, who joined Emirates Marketing Project from Atletico Madrid for ?ú38 million last summer, scoring 17 Premier League goals since the switch.

It was also claimed that Higuain could be involved in the mooted deal, with the Argentina international heading in the opposite direction.

But, speaking ahead of Wednesday's Champions League tie against APOEL Nicosia, Mourinho said: "You (the press) want to destabilise the squad.

"Last week I had signed for (Manchester) City, (Iker) Casillas was going to Schalke, Higuain to Malaga..."

Asked specifically about the Higuain-Aguero story, he added: "The front cover of (newspaper) AS is false. If you want me to comment on false front covers then forget it."

The club's director of institutional relations Emilio Butragueno also dismissed the suggestion of selling Higuain, who has been in impressive goalscoring form this season.

"Rumours seem to be inevitable," he told the club's official website. "But we are delighted with Higuain. He's scored 24 goals in 20 league games and just remember I was the league's top scorer with 19.

"He is a world-class striker and we intend for him to stay here many years. He arrived here very young and we regard him as a club player. He has always behaved impeccably, whether he plays or not."

Two players to keep and eye on tonight - Nicolas Gaitan and Ezequiel Garay. Apparently both could be on the move this summer and either of them would improve our squad substantially, especially the latter.

Garay is good. Been a fan of him since he was playing for santander. His playing style reminds me of Vermaelen.

Problem is Benfica look set to qualify for the CL again this season so we need to, at the very least equal that in order to stand half a chance. Either one would be a great signing for us

Always loved Adel.

I hate Shisha - I have six at home. I have 22 flavors from Coke to Red Bull to Orange to Banana. All brick.

Ill sell you the lot for 200 quid

I live in the middle east, don't worry I can find my own here ;)

Modric should be on that list. Very surprising for a 35 mil rated player.
He's rated at ?ú50 million, given that Chelsea offered around that for him in the summer. But still, stats aren't everything - he doesn't need to be scoring or assisting every game as he links play together etc. There are improvements that can be made to his game (such as shooting from distance and composure in front of goal), though.

FWIW, premierleague.com credits Adebayor with 12 assists:
Wigan (A)
Arsenal (H)
Saudi Sportswashing Machine (A) x2
Fulham (A)
WBA (A)
Norwich (A)
Saudi Sportswashing Machine (H) x4
Arsenal (A)

a VERY poor return for such a highly rated player imo

The second assist in the Saudi Sportswashing Machine game was Parker's although you can see in the video Adebayor almost got a touch to the pass which is where the confusion lies.

68' A lovely turn and finish from Defoe as Parker fed him, Krul denied him a moment ago but not his time as his shot arrows into the far corner.

Less than five minutes after coming on, he received a ball from Scott Parker on the edge of the 18 yard box. His first two touches created a yard for a shot, and his third was a sublime left footed drive into the bottom corner, leaving Tim Krul helpless.

As mentioned before - only time I'd root for them is against Arsenal

However - clubs openly cheating is despicable irrespective of their opponents. And if you feel Chelsea had no case - then surely Foy didn't do anything wrong at The Brittania? Righto

referees make mistakes....shock horror

weve profited from referee gaffes, and weve suffered from them too.

it happens to every club, only b*tches whinge on and on about being on the wrong end of mistakes

His pass for Bale against Swansea was brilliant, but ultimatively it wont go down as an assist. Also, all the chances he setup against Chelsea - none of them went in so he didnt get any assists there either.
If you find a list that combines chances created, forward passes completed, tackles and interceptions made and free kicks won I m positive Modric will be at the top.
