Interesting to see Atletico with some of the more sought after players among the football forum super scouts doing rather poorly in La Liga. FM stats and youtube compilations aren't always the ultimate guide to transfer targets.

Negredo just scored with his noggin. He's looked decent tonight.

Or they haven't all come together as it's pretty much a new side learning? Same would actually happen on FM.

What?!?... I had a mouthful of ice-cream and i have managed to splutter most of it everywhere after watching zambia's goalkeeper just nonchalantly wander out of his area and catch the ball...

Not entirely sure what he was doing... Though otherwise zambia are looking good.. hoping to get a look at cisse if he comes on for senegal..

Both Keanes goals were world class today I think. Just saw them for the first time on MOTD - the second is brilliant.

It is hilarious though, people on twitter banging on about how good he is now etc etc based on two goals. If you watched him regularly, instead of just on MotD, you would know that sadly he just didn't have the form or spark anymore to compete week in and out at the top level. He will always be able to show the odd magical moment, class is permanent, but just not regularly enough anymore.

King Kenny having a go at his players now. Nothing to do with you being an average manager bringing in brick players then?

I'll say it again; Liverpool are not underachieving. Their players are of 6th - 8th in the PL quality. Some are perhaps a little bit higher (Suarez, Lucas, Bellamy, Reina) and many are a fair bit below that standard (Adam, Spearing, Carroll, Johnson, Henderson, Downing). If Dalglish gets them to finish 6th it'll be a very good season by the standard of their players. Absolutely appalling in terms of money spent, mind, but surely no rational person was expecting Stewart Downing to power a side into title challengers?

I was about to say Liverpool's fans, board, Commoli and Dalglish, but then I re read it and realised you said rational.

a top 4 finish is pretty much in the bag. even if you don't have much faith in us the likes of arsenal and liverpool are just so awful we can probably fall over the line from here.

6-5-6 from here would get us to 69 and that's surely gonna be enough. neither of arsenal or liverpool look remotely capable of getting to 70.

Maximum number of achievable points for the top 7 (current number of points):

City 102 (51)
United 99 (48)
Spurs 97 (46)
Chelsea 89 (41)
Arsenal 87 (36)
Saudi Sportswashing Machine 84 (36)
Liverpool 83 (35)

We need 42 points to guarantee a top 4 finish and none of them are going to win the rest of their games. Arse, Pool and Saudi Sportswashing Machine will all struggle to get past 70 given their form so far.

nothing to do with a massively dodgy penalty for the home side totally changing the game, massive fook up by Lee Mason
Saudi Sportswashing Machine didn't lost by one goal - or two - they were totally outplayed finally! just shows what 1 or 2 players can bring/take away from a club, if the coach is not astute enough.

Didnt Pingpong leave tw4tter messages about taking out Bale being great, and has been giving it to Spurs most of the season ? That kick in the face... doesn't Karma hurt like a bitch.

Round up of the commentary I heard from the games today...

Krul is the best keeper in the premier league
Bolton winning is the shock of the season so far
City are the might of manchester

What planet are these fudgetards living on ?

We dont need 42, the avergage CL finish for the past 6 years has been 68 points, we need 22 min
