A lot of foreign teams sing songs in English whenever they play English teams. I remember Twente singing "you only sing when your winning" to us at the lane last season.

Next round:

ManUtd - Ath. Bilbao
Sporting - ManCity
Twente - Schalke
Standard Liege - Hannover
Valencia - PSV
Alkmaar - Udinese
Atl. Madrid - Besiktas
Metalyst - Olympiakos

Commentators going on about the mouthwatering fixture of City v Spurs in a couple weeks. WTF

Must have been referring to a few months time, rather than weeks, when double winning Spurs will meet Emirates Marketing Project, who finished 2nd in the Premiership, in the inaugral competition.

What an utter, utter piece of turd

Wouldnt go that far

He had a decent game, but Utds goal was farcical from a CBs point of view

But he wasn't the last man. He was maybe a little high up the pitch, but he stopped them getting a second. I thought he was pretty effective at both ends of the pitch tonight, in true Kaboul fashion.

agree entirely, totman is a hard tot to please..

i guess Redknapp and Mancini were both there last night to keep an eye on Vertonghen. City have been heavily linked to him too

He cut out one particular ball to Chicarito and then went mental Alder-hoogen-floogen... They pretty much completely shored up after that moment and the game was all about Ajax from then on. I don't know what's not to like.

Like I said, imo he had a decent game....but "f#cking awsome"?

Not if you mark him down for the Utd goal, which I have. Both CBs were awful for that goal

Didnt say I didnt like him, or he was poor

Totally random but I see Monaco playing tonight and in Ligue 2! What happened there??!

*apart from relegation smart arse

I'm inclined to think the commentator got his Mancs mixed up and meant Spurs v United, because I think that game next Sunday is going to be a cracker
