Although, it's funny how Mancini was slagged off by most pundits for asking for a card, yet that Crawley manager was almost onto the pitch screaming at the ref for a card and they won't say anything about that. Maybe it's only bad if you make a little hand gesture when asking for a card :-k

I think its slightly different. I think the Crawley Manager thought it was a dangerous tackle and a bit 'worried' for his player.

I suppose so. But in general, I don't understand why the hand gesture for a card is seen as so bad, when players swear their heads off at a ref asking for cards and nobody seems to mind that too much. One just as bad as the other IMO.

Actions speak louder than words huh.

Imagine A player giving a player a clown shoe sign rather than calling him a clown shoe? Its on show for the world to see whats being 'said' on the pitch etc

I agree. Hypocritical at best.

I understand the "actions speak louder than words" argument DHSF, but surely when 5-6 players swarm around the ref after a tackle it's pretty clear to the world what is going on.

Oh, and come on you Crawley!

I kinda agree I think the card waving is very candid same as what a clown shoe sign would be. Remonstrating with the ref is ok as long as its not done in the way that clam Terry, or Utd do.

BUT - sometimes thats what we need to do especially to the likes of foy and Webb. When someone stamps on someone we should be making more of it to the Ref than just letting it go.

It is horrific.

I just missed the goal, wtf happened?!

A penalty to Stoke - it was a bit of a penalty.

The commentary and the coverage on ESPN is fudgein brick. Burley is a horrible commentator - the guy just rants and rants and rants

I kind of agree. As long as the refs, The FA and FIFA/UEFA aren't punishing teams that are acting like dingdongheads to the referee and they are getting an advantage from it not doing so is probably naive and could cost us.

I just think the associations are inconsistent in the way they are punishing these things. Kick the ball away? Yellow card. Pick the ball up, run away from the foul and chuck the ball backwards in a high loop? Nah, that's fine. Stand in front of the ball for ages to keep the other team from taking the free kick? Nah, also fine.

Wave an imaginary yellow card? Booking! Sometimes, if the ref feels like it. Swarm the referee every decision? Nah, that's fine.

I don't actually think they are at the game, the commentators are watching it on tv/rivers like the rest of us

That's a fudging brick penalty as well. Hilarious that Shawcross feels he deserves one, that man is a massive clam.

He gives stonewallers away every corner but the refs never fudging looking, don't know how the refs haven't been asked to clamp down. I kind of hope we get these clams in the fa cup if we get through so we can embarass them.

Tony Pulis

I hate the guy so much. He is always bitching and i would love to smack the taco in the mouth.

I think i hate him more than Wenger.

Stoke and Sunderland away would probably be the worst draws left in the tournament.
