When you are down 1 goal AT HOME and your manager is not standing in the manager box area and instead sitting with the subs..what is going to drive you as a player and make feel the urgency...I thought highly of Mcliesh before but I guess he a relegation manager after all

McLeish is gutless. If he'd actually given creative players more of a run in the side (instead of putting donkeys like Hesky on the wing) they may have lost a couple of the matches they've drawn, but they might actually have turned a couple into wins as well, and been better off overall.

Villa fans never wanted him, and they were dead right in their fears about his teams. Imagine they go down and Brum come up...nightmare

Problem with Mcleish is Birmingham was always a difficult team to beat at home and he is trying to do it at Villa but he is doing it the wrong way.

a bit like Arry going to Southampton relegating them then going back to Pompey =D>

Not really. Harry didnt have a full season at Southampton...he took over in January or something, so I wouldnt say he relegated them. Maybe that could be down to Lowe hiring a f#cking rugby team to coach them (part of the reason Redknapp quit)

Just to clarify - McLeish's game plan is to keep within one goal of a draw, going into the last 5 minutes

Then pile people forward, put it in the mixer and try to nick a draw

This is because he fears the league leaders

This worked for him many times before, and almost worked again today with some decent half chances near the end

Ossie would be 5-0 down by the 80th minute

I don't agree with it, and I don't like it, but that is his game plan

Villa are truly awful.
I completely blame McLeish. Terrible manager. How can you leave players like Ireland and NZogbia on the bench at a time like this. They looked so much better when they brought them on. When you have Bent and Heskey, why not just chuck the ball into the box at every opportunity.

They could have easily lined up with

Nzogbia----Petrov---Ireland----Albrighton
----------Heskey----bent----------------

Thrown the ball into the box and just competed. I really don't like Lescott at the moment.

Aston Villa are awful! They seem to be content with losing 1-0 most weeks.

And what happened to Wolves? Did not see that coming! I hope they go down actually. I like McCarthy but Wolves are thugs.

I actually think Villa against us at the lane is the poorest team i've seen this season, only challenged by Bolton.

I think against Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Liverpool we were just so good that they couldn't get into it. Against Villa, we barely broke a sweat and tinkled it in.

They are poor, I just hope they don't get rid of McLeish before we go up there (which would leave him there til the end of the season I guess).
