Not read the thread, but fudge Ange for destroying my interest in football and Spurs. I will forever despise the man for the worst Spurs season I've ever witnessed. I was there in Bilbao, but that trophy was forgotten in no time. The pain of that season I don't think I'll ever get over. My interest in football was hanging on by a thread and having that clam in charge pretty much killed it. I'm taking this summer off, but unless next season is successful or even just exceptionally promising, I think I'm done .

“Despise” is an extremely strong choice of words. He may have got things wrong but hating him for what he was trying to do is over the top imo.
And I don’t see how anyone who was in Bilbao can say that trophy win was “forgotten in no time”. That was without doubt one of the best nights of my life, it will never, ever be forgotten (and I am lucky enough to be of an age to have witnessed our 80s and (more limited) 90s triumphs.). I am still revelling in that night. Obviously you feel how you feel, and it’s not for me to dismiss that, but I struggle to understand how any negative feelings can be attached to that night.

So you supporting spurs is based on us being successful yet winning a trophy for the first time in 17/41 years wasn't successful enough.

shame you took the ticket off someone who would have really enjoyed Bilbao & would have had that joyous memory forever

Being a supporter means you support the club through the good & bad times. If you can't do that I'm not sure we need supporters like you anyhow so see ya

I get how you feel as I posted about my own declining interest in football on here but it surprises me that Ange has killed your interest of completely.

The standard of play was terrible on a far too consistent basis but to be honest after we won the Europa rival fans actually seem to be taking the tinkle a lot less.

This was the first time in a long while (I think since 09/10???) we’d finished bottom half.

It is so much more difficult to challenge as a self sufficient club then it should be due to financial doping but overall this season has been an outlier and we picked up silverware and have a super cup and CL to look forward too.
