The Goon Thread

Yes, I was thinking that hadn't been thought through properly. I doubt the players will be happy about having to appear so soon. Give it a week and they might enjoy the PL win more.

The hot weather was harder on Woolwich because they didn’t have much possession so had to run more. What? Did he really say that? But your team CHOSE not to have much possession by sitting back practically the whole game and hoping to get something on the break. You didn’t have to run more because you weren’t trying to win the ball for most of the game.
They are totally deluded.

Indeed. He had the balls to step up and take a penalty. I respect him for that. The racist abuse (to him, Rashford and Sancho) was appalling.

One thing that does irk me an littke about Saka, is how even after he got that great reception from our fans post his euros penalty miss, he still tries to wind up our fans.
The thing that irks me, is that the fans of all PL clubs had the opportunity to damage an opponent. They all had the chance to give Saka stick and I don't think he'd have come back from that.

But they all applauded him like it was U9 lawn bowls or something.

It was good to see the two penalties with the stutter step miss and Raya's antics not rewarded.

I also found a couple of comments on Gabriel amusing:

"The miss from Gabriel Magalhães, his defensive rock, and set-piece tussler-in-chief, was one for the ages." (source)
"He is undoubtedly a master of defending dark arts and it is fair to say his popularity diminishes rapidly outside the London Borough of Islington." (source)
