Re: *** Let's all laugh at Arsenal ***

and the fat, creepy sex pest one from little Britain

Walliams I presume?

I really don't give a flying fudge if he's gay, straight or Australian but I lost count of the times when his fame first broke and it became part of his interview technique when doing promotional work to pretend (or otherwise) to be both gay and interested in the male interviewer, much to their obvious embarrasment. There's a name for that whether you're playing a role or not.

Re: *** Let's all laugh at Arsenal ***

I just can't help myself

There's no RVP to bail them out this time

This is the year that it all comes crumbling down

Let's all laugh at Arsenal

And mugs like Piers macaron, the mockney fat tongued mong, and the fat gay one from little Britain

And the majority of the English press and Soccer Saturday

:ross:

I've been trying to work out who this one is...who is it???

i won't laugh at AFC, what is it, 15 seasons in a row they've rubbed our noses in it

here's hoping we don't bottle it this time

the manager formerly known as clown has started picking decent teams, here's hoping we finally finish above AFC :)

Let's be honest, we are not really in any position to laugh or gloat, especially this early. Last season we could and should have finished above Arsenal; I still maintain our first 11 and squad was far better, but we bottled it BIG time.

Our squad is not as GHod as last year's (though perhaps similar could be said for them after having lost RVP, though CL money has allowed them to pad out the squad a bit more) and I think it would be an UNBELIEVABLE achievement if we finish above them this year...here's hoping..[-o<

You cant even think about it yet. 5pts is nothing, we have proved in the last 8 days who quick gaps can erode. In fact, I wouldnt even start gloating if we were 5pts ahead with 2 games left, because this is Spurs we're talking about.

Last season although the gap was so big, you knew what fixtures we had to come, so although it was 10 with the away games we had, you knew it was never going to stay at that.
This time around we have Arsenal,Everton and City at home, rather than away, in the 2nd half of the season which is better than last season

I refuse to gloat after our 5-2 loss. The bragging rights are theirs. But if they lose more games, things can get very interesting....

perfect scenario
2nd march 2013:
Tottenham 5 Arsenal 0
3rd march 2013
Wenger sacked

if there is a GHod...[-o<

No it's the other one.

You forgot that fat suit wearing chav prick Plan B(ellend)

And that Indian chap who posted a silly video of him singing songs with his scum shirt on in his bedroom in India!

Alan Davis and Piers Morgan are the biggest ****s out there, fudge this "let's not laugh at them" bollox
I fudging love watching their fans squirm! Something about watching big-mouthed ****s not knowing what to do because everything they have ever known, everything that drew them to support that insipid pile of brick being questioned! Yes I love it and I laugh and laugh and fudging laugh!!

I'll laugh at them now while I can, but still expect them to finish above us. They were saying on MOTD last night, this is the first season where Wenger is under genuine pressure. Ok last year they got off to a slow start, but they had a world class striker to bail them out time and time again. I'm still conditioned to believe that they will come good though sadly.

The difference between Arsenal this season and previous years is that there aren't any genuinely world class players in their squad any more. There's a few with the potential to be - Cazorla, Wheelchair, Oxlade-Chamberlain etc, but I don't think any of them are at the top level yet. Much of their squad is full of players who are outstanding on their day and absolute dogbrick when confidence is low, see Walcott, Gervinho, Giroud, Podolski, Ramsey, Arshavin etc.

The point is, the likes of Henry, Fabregas and Van Persie not only had the fighting spirit to put in big performances even when the team had been playing badly, but the fact that they could produce moments of brilliance to win matches meant they could pick up points even when the team in general was playing badly, which in turn would restore confidence to the squad with an important win. I'm looking at their current squad and wondering who has it in them to inspire them to come back from being off the pace for a Champions League spot the way Henry did in the 05/06 season, the way Fabregas did in the 08/09 season and the way Van Persie did last season.

What will probably work out well for them though, is that they have a relatively easy run of games coming up. Yeah yeah, there's no easy games in this league, but these are easier than most:

West Brom (H) - WBA have done well this year, but their form has dipped and you'd expect Arsenal to beat them at home
Reading (A) - Arsenal scored 7 last time they played at the Madejski, Reading's defence is absolute brick and again, you'd expect Arsenal to win
Wigan (A) - Martinez is a top manager and good in the big games, but still, Arsenal will be favourites again
West Ham (H) - Arsenal have already beaten them at Upton Park this season, at home you'd think Arsenal will win again
Saudi Sportswashing Machine (H) - Saudi Sportswashing Machine are having a poor season and have a lot of players out injured. At home you'd expect Arsenal to win
Southampton (A) - Southampton have got some good attacking players but they're suspect at the back, a very winnable game for Arsenal once again.

If they're way off the pace after that run of fixtures then I think it might be time to start getting excited, but after a run like that they should go into the January transfer window either in the top 4 or at least very close to it.

Re: Would our neighbors be better off without Wenger?

If Wenger is going to decide who's bought and sold then no manager of any stature is going to accept the job, however, if he we to say to Wenger "Get me player X at the best price" or "I'm done with player Y, get me the best price for him" then that would be a different scenario. All imho of course.

Any manager who is happy working under a DOF would be perfectly happy.
