Yes I saw that the other day that is impressive.
But then you have people like Langer and Mark Taylor on similar averages and runs scored but have opened the batting and half the time come into bat against fresh fielders and a hard ball and no real knowledge of how the balls going to react.
Coming in as three and four or five yes you can swashbuckle all afternoon and it’s a great sight but I don’t think averages tell the whole story story.

There is something in it if you hit the right spot, the bounch has been variable at times just enough to lull batsmen into being confident to play shots, both Indian players have batted well. I think it's been an entertaining game and first session will decide the result.

I always feel the Oval is a soulless bowl but I've seen some good tests there, particularly when we won the ashes, we were still in ground an hour after play.

our bowling line up looks a bit meh. I like Atkinson, but not sure on Tongue and Overton is a bit of a journeyman, decent but not great. Along with Woakes most probably knackered…. Obviously hope I’m completely wrong but not sure I see 20 Indian wickets falling at the Oval.

If we are lucky enough to win toss I think I'd bat, I know its cloudy but there have been some big scores at the Oval this season and India could put 600 on the board if inserted against Englands bowling unit.
