Ooh er!Agreed with with the first bit, but not the second, Benaud bored me to tears and became a caricature of himself near the end.
yes, means he is untarnishedGutted for Lawrence, but pleased for him as well! Think he’s a player, just needs a run in the side now.
ridiculous he couldn’t get a game in the Ashes but might turn out to be a blessing.
All we need to do is reverse the batting order!
..and Archer, Robinson and Wood. Arguably our top 5 bowlers missing. All we need to do is reverse the batting order!
a minor miracle to get to 200 from where we were but lots of pressure on the bowlers to deliver today with Jimmy and Broad missing…
Root resigned as captain. Think that’s for the best, wonder if Broad will be the short term replacement as Stokes has said previously he doesn’t fancy it
I don’t think there is anyone else who is assured of their place who has the aptitude for it, other than Stokes who I think has said he doesn’t want it? Which is a shame as ideally if it was Broad you’d want a vice captain who could succeed him in the not too distant future.why give it to Broad though? Surely England need to be looking forwards not backwards?
