The Cricket Thread

As 2021's Ashes draws closer, I've been worrying about this new batting phenom called Will Pucovski (aged 22) who they're saying here is the next Smith. He was about to make his test debut against India on the back of some series County level form, averaging something ridiculous like 220. Turns out he's got a weakness. The short ball. He's had eight concussions already in his career and earlier this week got one on the head which has ruled him out of the first test. Good news for our bowlers that he's so susceptible to the short ball (like Smith).

I’m going to Boxing Day at the MCG Aus v India second test. First test began yesterday in Adelaide. Aussies in control already. The England v Pakistan game you’re going to must be one of the final games they play before flying out here in September I’d guess.

It was down to one session of good fast bowling and the day night pink ball. Cummins and Hazlewood destroyed the Indian top order. Our batsmen will need to be in seriously good form if we’re going to reclaim the Ashes on foreign soil in 2021.

It was a brutal spell of quick bowling. Shami had his arm broken apparently by Cummins. I fear for the England team after watching Kohli and co get so easily cleaned out.

Our bowling attack is pretty fearsome too
It will be Jimmy's last tour and he will want to go out with a bang
Then we have Broad who was astonishingly good this year
and Jofra and Wood too, Woakes all very very good bowlers
