Coming from Northern Ireland I've never really been into cricket, but I was in Melbourne over Christmas and went to the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. I might be a late convert! I had a thoroughly enjoyable day. What's not to like - sun, all day beer, great crowd and occasion. I appreciate that you Poms (I'm an Aussie convert 
) probably won't appreciate it, but Labuschagne and Smith were a joy to watch, even if New Zealand were a bit crap.
I also went to a Big Bash T20, again at the MCG - Melbourne Stars beat the Melbourne Renegades, more great fun in front of 55,500 spectators.
Definitely considering an England game in the summer.
